Hacienda Escondida

Best place in town if you want a place that has charm and character. Scott made this place into a tropical oasis. From the treehouse to the pool, it is very private and cozy. It is very easy to get to this hotel from anywhere in town. Most places you have to climb a mountain to get to, this place is a nice flat stroll back and forth to the beach, bars, and restaurants. We had so much fun staying at this location, and I am so happy I found this place. I will be staying every time I come to town if Scott has availability. The rooms are spacious, very well put together, clean, and stocked. If you needed something for your room, Scott was sure to make it happen. Water pressure in our room was spectacular, a/c worked great, and we had some furry visitors in the morning if you left your door open. Scott had three awesome dogs that helped keep the property safe. Made some great memories, made some great friends, broke some hearts, and maybe some regrets, but it was worth it while staying at the greatest spot to experience PV! Thanks, Scott!

I had the most relaxing and beautiful stay at Hacienda Escondida. The one bedroom was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The service was excellent! The morning breakfasts eaten out by the pool surrounded by all the gorgeous flowers was enchanting. They certainly go the extra mile for you giving great suggestions for eating out at all the local restaurants. We went on a fishing trip arranged by Scott and caught some fish and had a great time doing it and the snorkeling was fantastic. And don't forget to visit their "tree house" what good fun that is! I can't wait to go back. Well done my friends!!!

We just finished our stay at H. E. and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect- close to the restaurants and the beach, but far enough where it’s ideal for resting and relaxing. Our room was very comfortable and spacious and had all the needed amenities. Scott, the owner, was always accessible and supportive to help with our special requests. Lastly, the location was very safe and Scott prioritizes safety first. I highly recommend staying at his little oasis.

All I can say is wow. What a wonderful, hospitable experience. I loved the location tucked into the back of the Zona romantica. The moment I walked into Scott’s magical oasis I felt at home. I stayed in two different rooms and both were incredible. It’s truly just amazing what he’s done with the space here. Next time I return to Puerto Vallarta I will 100000% stay here again.

It was an incredible experience, just wonderful. Scott makes you feel at home and he is always on the lookout for what you need. Without a doubt one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The 24-hour Jacuzzi was one of the most incredible things I had to experience

I can highly recommend Hacienda Escondida, and will comfortably call this a hidden-gem. The host is incredibly friendly, the rooms are beautiful (plus comfortable and huge!) and the location is perfect. We made a lot of use of the pool to relax in the late afternoon, after exploring Puerto Vallarta in the morning and before going out again in the evening for dinner and drinks. The rooms are equipped with water, AC and fan. The place is located about a 10 minute walk from the beach area/restaurants, which means you come back to a quiet and peaceful 'home' after a night in the lively and touristy centre area. It is in a very pretty part of Zone Romantica with a LOT of good taco stands nearby. We stayed 4 nights and our host was very accommodating when we arrived (way too!) early. We absolutely loved it, and would definitely stay again if we came back to PV.

Truly a beautiful experience. Thankful to Scott and the staff for being so warm and accommodating. I loved the hand written cards and the tree house. The property is gorgeous and the rooms are perfect.

Really nice location, owner is really nice, only problems we had during our stay was there were no cleaning services or even just a broom so we coukd sweep up sand we brought in. Also there was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom probably the drains. We didnt spend too much time at the hotel but the beds were comfy enough and the atmosphere in the garden area is very nice. Love all the plants. Unfortunately the hot tub wasnt very hot, and another problem with our room is there was a skylight in the bedroom above the bed, and some kind of light on the roof so even at night the room was dimly lit without the lights. We still slept fine but seems like a weird thing to have. We would recommend this place to others with that in mind.
